Riverside Routes: Red Kite Day

Learn to fly!

Join Bare Toed Dance where you'll learn how to use your arms as wings, soar around the room, and have a go at flying on a mini aerial rig.

Fly a kite!

Get ready to create your own kite to fly. Artist Pauline Taylor will show you how to create your kite before testing it outside in the yard!

Build Your Own Bird!

Join artist Andrew Mitchell to create your own bird using AI. Grab a book from the collection to explore your favourite species, then Andrew will take you through colours, accessories and more to create your very own bird! You'll name your new flying pal which will then be printed out for you to take home, as well as being added to our Bird Gallery!

Red Kite Lego Printing

Join artist Megan Randall to make your own print using Lego! Be inspired by red kite, flight, wings before creating your piece to take home.

Tickets: £3 strictly permit one child and one adult only.

This event is part of the Riverside Routes.

Riverside Routes is part of the Tyne Derwent Way programme, funded by HM Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
