Get involved

There are lots of ways to get involved in the Tyne Derwent Way. Volunteer for our 'turn up and do' events, become a regular volunteer or join our community steering group.

Turn up and do

Join our Saturday Green Team at Gateshead Riverside Park! From trimming overhanging branches to clearing pathways, there's a task for everyone. Enjoy the outdoors while planting seasonal beauties and keeping the park litter-free. Let's make our park a better place together!

We meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:45am for a 10 o'clock start. We finish at 12 noon! It's great way to spend time outdoors, enjoy light exercise, and meet others who are eager to make a positive impact on Gateshead's local green spaces, just like you. So, just turn up and let's make a difference together!  Please see the link below for details of where we are meeting on Saturday 20 July.

We've got you covered with tools and PPE, plus a warm cuppa and a biscuit to start and end your shift! Got questions? Send an email to stewart.turnbull@nationaltrust.org.uk
