A new exhibition that's well worth a LOOK

The exhibition is called Look, and it's a collaboration between Gateshead Community Bridgebuilders and local photographer Damien Wootten. Over the past year, Damien has worked with a number of community groups that are part of the Bridgebuilders, capturing the amazing variety of work they do. He ran workshops and documented the work and lives of the Bridgebuilders, giving a distinctive and individual voice to each group and allowing them to steer the direction of photography.
Look opened with a launch event on Saturday 7 February, with lifelong Gateshead resident and exhibition contributor Janet Allan cutting the ribbon, and visitors enjoying a first look at the wealth of photos.

Admission is free, and you can pop in on Thursdays between 11am and 3pm, or come along for one of our Saturday openings, when can enjoy a free biscuit and tea or coffee!
