Blooming June exhibition

Blooming June exhibition
This June, we've created a whole host of ways to help you connect with nature along the Tyne Derwent Way - from self-led walks to free weekly events, hands-on creative workshops, and a special community exhibition.

Visit the Staiths Space to experience Blooming June — featuring artwork by local families, interactive activities. There's even a free Blossom tote bag for the first 100 visitors, containing fun ways to engage with nature along Gateshead's riversides.

Here's everything that's happening — get involved, sign up, turn up, get excited, tell a friend, and most of all... enjoy what's blooming on your doorstep this June.

Brought to you in partnership with the National Trust for the Festival of Blossom, thanks to support from Postcode Lottery players.

Get involved, sign up, turn up, explore, and connect with nature this June.

Bring a friend, try something new, and celebrate the season with us — Blooming June is waiting for you.

Tyne Derwent Way and Ouseburn Blossom trail map

The Tyne Derwent Way and Ouseburn Blossom trail takes you from the Metrocentre to Ouseburn Community Farm. This booklet is designed to guide you along the route with an indication of blossom you will see along the way. We've included flowers you will spot in late spring or early summer, but you can walk the routes all year around and see what is changing and what is blooming. Why not colour-in as you go?

Stroll, relax, listen and enjoy!
