TDW in Blossom - Kids Nature Rangers
Kids (and their grown ups!) can unleash their inner Nature Ranger on a guided exploration of local birds, bugs and blossom.
Join local naturalists, Wild Intrigue, for an exploration of Dunston Staiths' wild side!
Budding young Nature Rangers will discover tips into identifying the wonderful plants and animals that flourish along the banks of the River Tyne, and will find out how a simple blank sheet of paper can uncover nature's hidden secrets....
As the movements of our wildlife is wonderfully unpredictable, each Nature Ranger session is different. Alongside things we discover on the day, we will explore the fascinating lives of migratory birds - right on our doorsteps - as well as the intriguing behaviours and life-cycles of insects we discover.
Young Nature Rangers will learn how they can do simple things to make meaningful positive impact on our local nature. Accompanying grown ups will have the option to learn how to use the free iNaturalist app, a very handy and impactful tool to record + explore wildlife with little ones.
The walk will begin at The Staith's Space, along Riverside Walk and local woodland.
